Black. He married Margaret McCarthy on 23.03.1894 at Rostrevor Presbyterian Church.
Margaret of Rostrevor was the daughter of John McCarthy. Witnesses John Kaye and Isabelle
McCarthy. William a gardener was working at Gledswood in 1896, Drummartin House in 1898
and living at Rockville gatelodge in 1911. William died at Newtownbreda on 28.12.1954 and
Margaret died same place on 04.04.1959.
1 William Henry Kaye born 25.10.1894 at 1 Dodder Cottages, Milltown. William enlisted
in the North Irish Horse in 1916. transferring to the Royal Irish Rifles and serving in
France. William of 13 Richmond Hill, Rathmines a hospital attendant married Margaret
Toner on 02.09.1924 at Charleston Road Methodist Church. Margaret of 9 Martello
Avenue, Glasthule was the daughter of John Toner. William died on 11.06.1967 at the
Adelaide Hospital aged 72 years late of 312 Kildare Road, Crumlin.
2 John Hamilton Kaye born 15.09.1896 at Gledswood Back Lodge, Dundrum. Private John
Kaye enlisted in the North Irish Horse in 1916 and saw service in Egypt and Palestine.
3 Margaret Kaye born 20.11.1901 at Palermo, Bray, Wicklow.
4 George Kaye born 15.09.1898 at Drummartin House, Dundrum. George of Stradbrook
Hall married Christina Connell daughter of James Connell on 18.11.1922 at the Roman
Catholic Church of St Mary’s, Haddington Road. Christina died of tuberculosis on
11.01.1938 aged 34 years at Grangegorman late of 92 Lower Drummartin Road.
George a widower of 64 Upper Beechwood Avenue married secondly Ellen B O’Neill of
281 North Circular Road daughter of Timothy O’Neill on 03.12.1940 at the Roman Catholic
Church of St Michan.
