1 Edward Kavanagh born circa 1838 was a provision dealer of Mary’s Abbey. He married
Maria Teresa Connell at Harrington Street on 9 Jun 1867. Mary was the daughter of
Patrick Connell, a provision dealer of Wexford Street and Anne Sullivan. Mary died aged
28 at Mary’s Abbey on 25 Oct 1872 and was buried at Glasnevin. Edward died on
11 Oct 1897 at Mary’s Abbey and was buried at Glasnevin.

Cathedral.
2 Mary Joseph Kavanagh born 14 Dec 1869 at Marys Abbey baptised at the Pro
Cathedral.
3 Jane Kavanagh born 27 Jul 1871 at Marys Abbey baptised at the Pro Cathedral.
Jane of Marys Abbey married Laurence Hughes on 27 Oct 1897 at St Michan’s.
2 Joseph born circa 1840 a provision dealer of 27-30 Talbot Street. He married Catherine
Maguire nee Murray on 14 Apr 1866 at the Pro Cathedral. Catherine was a provision
dealer from 22 Mary’s Abbey and the daughter of Patrick Maguire a provision dealer
and Mary Maguire. Catherine was the widow of Mark Murray and was about 15 years
older than Joseph. Catherine died 9 Sep 1874 at Clanbrasil Terrace aged 49 and was
buried at Glasnevin. Joseph moved to Trimbleston Lodge circa 1880. Joseph of Talbot
Street and Marys Abbey died a widower at Trimbleston Lodge on 5 Aug 1881 and was
buried at Glasnevin. He left 8k in personal estate and 1k was left to charity c/o the
Archbishop of Dublin. His executors were James Leigh, merchant of 22 Mary’s Abbey
and Christoper J Nixon of Merrion Square.
3 Thomas Kavanagh born circa 1841 was a provision dealer. He married and died at 72
Meath Street on 24 Apr 1874.
