Kate Doran of Goatstown and Drummartin Lodge
Kate Doran was a spinster living at Beaufield, Stillorgan in 1877. She became proprietress of
Sexton’s public house at Goatstown in 1879. She lived at Dromartin Lodge and rented out
bedrooms with the use of sitting rooms. In 1884 the stock and household effects of Kate
Doran were sold at a Sheriffs sale in August 1884 after a writ was issued to seize goods
instigated by Charles Brenan of the Phoenix Brewery Company.
