John Murphy born 28 Dec 1870 son of Thomas Murphy, a teacher and Anastatia Bolger of
Flash, Arklow.  He attended University College and Technical Schools in Henry Street and later
trained at St Patricks.  He was a teacher of 18 St Kevin's Road and married Catherine Keeling
of Donabate on 19.02.1906 at Donabate.  Catherine was the daughter of William Keeling, a
farmer.  They lived at 2 Campfield Terrace from 1906 to 1912 and John was principal of
Dundrum Boys school.
