William Hunter born circa 1845 in Co Antrim. He was working as a gardener at Castleknock
when he married Maria Murphy on 19 Jan 1866 at the Church of Ireland, Castleknock. Maria
was a servant living at Castleknock and was the daughter of James Murphy, a labourer. He
was a gardener at the Masonic School, Clonskeagh in 1901. William died at 4 Emorville
Avenue, SCR on 9 Dec 1910 and is buried at Mount Jerome. Maria died 5 Sep 1921 at
Emorville Avenue and is buried with her husband.

2 James Hunter born 28 Sep 1869 at Castlewood Place, Rathmines, Dublin. He was
working as a gardener at the Masonic School in Clonskeagh when he married Elsie
Grant on 4 Nov 1898 at the Registrar’s Office, Dublin. Elsie a native of Grantown-on-
Spey, Morayshire was the daughter of the late David Grant, a farmer and she was
resident at Pontypool. He worked as a steward/gardener to Dodgson Hamilton at
Nutley from 1902 to 1911. He was land steward of Clonard from 1921 to 1926. Elsie
died 16 Jan 1937 at Slievenamon House, Boghall Road, Bray and is buried at Mount
Jerome. She left 2k in personal estate. James died 15 Dec 1946 at Slievenamon
House and is buried with his wife.

resident at Nutley. He was living at Slievenamon in 1938 and was a bird fancier
breeding and showing finches and canaries.

the son of George Kemp, a paper maker.

15 Jun 1919 and is buried at Mount Jerome.
