Hutchinson Family of Rose Hill, Blackrock
Col William Francis Moore Hutchinson of the Royal Artillery eldest son of William
Nelson and Mary Hutchinson married Annie only daughter of late Alexander
George Woodford* of the 56th Regiment who had died of Yellow Fever in
Bermuda in 1853 and granddaughter of late Field Marshal Sir Alexander
Woodford. The family lived at Rose Hill in Blackrock circa 1893-1896.

at Woolwich, Kent.
2 Ivy Sybil Mary Hutchinson baptised 30.03.1880 at Folkestone, Kent.
* Sir Alexander George Woodford married Charlotte Mary Anne Fraser on
09.08.1820 at St George’s Church, Hanover Quay, London. Charlotte died
1 Rev Adolphus Frederick Alexander Woodford born circa 1821 died
unmarried on 23.12.1887 aged 66 years.
2 Susan Arabella Mary Woodford eldest daughter born circa 1822
married George Frederick Upton the 3rd Viscount Templeton in
February 1850 at St George’s Church, Hanover Square. George died
on 04.01.1890 at San Remo and was interred in the family mausoleum
at Castle Upton, Temple Patrick. Susan died on 25.03.1894 at Villa
Margerita, San Remo.
3 Lt Col Charles John Woodford born circa 1823 of the Rifle Brigade
killed in action on 28.11.1857 aged 34 years while leading a charge
at Cawnpore during the Indian Mutiny.
4 Alexander George Woodford 3rd son born circa 1824 of the 56th
Regiment married Mary Montgomerie Cunninghame youngest
daughter of late Robert Cunninghame on 28.07.1846. Alexander
died of Yellow Fever in Barbados in 1853.
1 Charlotte Anne Susan Woodford only daughter born 12.09.1848
in Gibraltar. Charlotte married William Francis Moore
Hutchinson on 16.01.1872 at St George’s Church, Hanover Quay,
London. William died in 1917 and Charlotte died circa 1931.
