Kerrymount
MAP LOCATION OSI maps of 1838 - 1845 and 1898-1913 place it in the townland of
Cabinteeley and it is annotated as Claremount (possible error) & Hollywood.
GENERAL A castellated Tudor Gothic residence with a large hall, three reception rooms,
and seven bedrooms. William Richard O'Byrne's leases on Claremont, Hollywood and St Bernards were
for sale through the encumbered court in 1883.
YEAR BUILT circa 1816
VALUATION In 1875 the valuation was 35L pounds and in the 1882 census it is
noted as having 1901 rooms occupied by the family.
