Reuben Frogbrook baptised 21 Sep 1823 at Bosham, Sussex son of John and Elizabeth
Frogbrook. His father was a fisherman. He married Margaret Davies on 28 Aug 1855, both
gave an address of 5 Montpelier Hill. Margaret was a servant and the daughter of David
Davies, a farmer Reuben was a gardener at Carysfort Lodge from 1874to 1878. In 1894 he
was a gardener living at 9 Strand Road in Sandymount. Margaret died on 5 Jan 1898 at
Sunny Cottage, Castleknock, her son in law Thomas the informant. In 1901 Reuben was a
butler in Chapelizod working for James Coody. Reuben died at the Royal Hibernian Military
School on 27 Jun 1903, his son in law Thomas Guthrie the informant.
1 Elizabeth Jane Frogbrook born circa 1857 in Dublin City. She was a dressmaker and
married Thomas Guthrie on 11 Jan 1876 at Kingstown Registrar’s Office. Thomas
born in Gibraltar was a widower. He was with a corporal with the 79 Highlanders and
the son of James Guthrie, barracks sergeant. He was living at the Phoenix Park with
Elizabeth who continued to work as a dressmaker in 1901 and 1911. They had no
children.
2 Reuben John Frogbrook born circa 1860 in Ireland. He was a gardener living with his
wife Elizabeth Flyght and two children in 1921 at 12 Kingston Road, Bradford on Avon,
Wiltshire. Reuben died 5 March 1946 at Whipps Cross Hospital Leytonstone Essex.
Probate to Elizabeth Frogbrook the widow and Arthur Reuben Frogbrook, a local
government officer. Effects in Northern Ireland £100, re-sealed Belfast.

3 Fanny Margaret Frogbrook born circa 1867 married James Guthrie on 5 Feb 1878 at
Stillorgan Parish Church. James was a colour sergeant in the 79th Regiment based at
Gallowgate, Glasgow and the son of James Guthrie, a barracks sergeant.
4 Samuel Frogbrook born circa 1863 died in 1876 and was buried at Stillorgan graveyard.
