GENERAL Double-fronted, eight roomed non basement residence. In 1869 it was owned by
Charles Going Malone. In 1888 Enderley was advertised as a boarding school for boys under 15 preparing
them for the Navy, Universities and English grammar schools. Its focus was on delicate or backward boys
from the age of 6, and the grounds contained tennis courts and playgrounds. Given that the house was
vacant, it is unlike that this school ever opened. By 1911 he was owned by Daniel Byrne who was leasing
to Thomas Figgis. It had a coach house and stables. Enderley a protected structure, has a 2.8 meter high
granite rubble stone wall which extends along the Laurel Road boundary.
