Edward Hunt born circa 1775. He was a lieutenant in the Loyal Cheshire Fencibles and married
Jane O’Callaghan (possibly a widow) on the 02.12.1801 at Skibbereen. He was a JP and elected
Sovereign of Kinsale in 1832, 1837 and 1840. Jane died from cholera on 18.06.1834 aged 61.
His sister Diana, wife of the late James Bradish of Queen’s County died at his house in 1850.
Edward died circa 08.11.1856 at his residence in Kinsale.
1 Diana Hunt born circa 1802 died unmarried on 07.03.1872 at Fisher Street, Kinsale.
2 Jane Hunt born circa 1804 youngest daughter died unmarried on 25.03.1884 aged 80
years at Fisher Street, Kinsale.
3 Edward Hunt born circa 1805. He was a sub inspector of constabulary and married
Harriet Lawler on 13.03.1841 at Taney Church. Harriet was living at Bloomfield, Roebuck
and was the second daughter of the late Rev William Lawler. He was removed for office
by a court of enquiry when he was a sub inspector based in Swinford, Mayo in 1848.
They lived at 3 Campfield Terrace from 1866 to 1874. Edward died on 06.02.1873 aged 68
years at Ranelagh Avenue formerly of Kinsale and Campfield Terrace. Harriet died on
14.04.1882 aged 70 years at 8 Lennox Street. Informant Charles J Hurt.
1 Diana Hunt born circa 1843 only daughter married James Robinson Kilroe of
Yorkshire on 24.07.1873 at Taney Church, Dundrum. The ceremony was performed
by her uncle the Rev Edward F Lawler. Diana died on 14.01.1886 aged 43 years in
Donegal.
James married secondly Sarah Moore daughter of William Moore on 27.06.1888 at
the Registrars Office, Ballymoney.
2 William Hunt born circa 1845 at Whitehaven living at Campfield in 1873 when his
father died. He was a clergyman and married Harriet Jane Hester Hemmings in
Braddan in the Isle of Man on 24 Aug 1875. They were living in German, Isle of Man
in 1901 with two daughters. William died in Los Angeles on 21 Feb 1913.
3 Charles John Hunt born circa 1849 youngest son living at Campfield when his father
died. Charles of 8 Lennox Street married Sarah Isabella Brown youngest daughter of
Henry Brown of 10 Herbert Place on 06.06.1883 at St Stephen’s Church, Dublin.
