William Donlevy born circa 1764. William with an address of Mary’s Abbey married Mrs
Judith Ferguson on 15 Jul 1795. Judith was a widow of St Michan’s Parish from Tandragee, Co
Armagh. William was Accountant General of the Bank of Ireland from 1788 to 1830. In 1809
he became clerk of the Connaught Road (a post office official). They lived at MountJoy
Square West and Priest House from 1818 to 1830. Their house in Mountjoy Square was the
scene of a daring robbery in 1824 and some property of Miss Donlevy was stolen, so they may
have had children. William died in May 1830 at Mountjoy Square and on the same day as his
death was published in the newspapers, Priest House in Donnybrook was put up for sale. Judith
was his executor and in December 1830, the interest in the lease of 14 Mountjoy square was
also put up for sale. Judith died on 10 Jan 1836 formerly of Mountjoy Square and Drumcondra,
and late of Paradise Row.
