John Charles Combe a clerk of Queen Street, Lurgan son of John Charles Combe married
Maggie Carter of Lurgan, widow of Samuel Carter and daughter of Robert Sloan in 1892. 
The family lived in Lurgan in 1901 and 1911.

1          Frederick Charles Combe born 27.03.1905 at Avenue Road, Lurgan.  Frederick married
            Edna Mabel Moreland on 08.04.1932 at St Matthias’ Church, Dublin.  Edna was the
            eldest daughter of Robert Edmond Moreland of Cavendish Quay, Bandon, Cork.  They
            lived at Bellevue and they had at least three children.  Frederick of Bellevue, Merrion
            was brought in as a key operational director at Livingston and Spencer Hosiery and
            Handkerchief Manufacturers.  In 1950 with George H Marks they built a new
            manufacturing plant at Clonard Road in Kimmage.  The restructuring and leadership
            shift proved highly successful and by 1954, the new directors authorized a major
            structural extension of the Kimmage plant to keep up with surging post-war consumer
            demand and dedicated massive portions of their production lines solely to production
            for M&S.  In the 1960s Frederick and Edna undertook five trips to Mission Fields.  They
            visited North Africa, South Africa, West Africa, the Holy Lands and Middle - East, and to 
            India Pakistan and Nepal.
