Joshua Collins born 1774. He was Attorney General in 1800 of Cookstown, Tyrone. He married
Maria Magill only daughter of William Magill late of Drumgarrell and Elizabeth Patterson her
mother in 1802. Joshua died 17.03.1838 at Cookstown and is buried at Donaghenry Graveyard,
Stewartstown, Co Tyrone. Maria died at her residence, College Square, Belfast on 15.03.1866.
1 Eliza Collins eldest daughter died on 03.05.1868 at Greenfield, Kells, Antrim.
2 Isabella Collins born circa 1800. Isabella last remaining daughter died on 14.11.1891 aged
91 years at Ben Vista, Ballymena.
3 William Magill Collins eldest son born circa 1813. He was a solicitor of Belfast and Dublin and
married Anne. They lived at Frankfurt House from 1874 to 1879 and moved to Palmerston
Road in 1880. Anne died 27.01.1880 at 42 Palmerston Road, Rathmines aged 68. William, late
of Frankfurt, Dundrum died on 11.08.1880 both at 42 Palmerstown Road. They are buried at
Shankill Cemetery, Belfast. Probate to Frederick Henry Collins and Allen Edmund Douglas.
1 Annie Theresa Collins eldest daughter born circa 1837 married Allen Edmund Douglas,
MD of Grasslough eldest son of late E A Douglas of Ballinasloe on 04.06.1867 at
Fisherwick Place Church, Belfast. In 1901 Annie was living at 130 Brighton Road,
Rathmines. Annie died on 22.08.1908 aged 71 years at her residence in Ballycastle.
2 Maria Harriet Collins 2nd daughter born circa 1839. Maria of Chatsworth Grove, Whalley
Range died on 10.05.1910 at Rowton, Chester.
3 Joshua Collins born circa 1842 possibly studied medicine, he entered Queens in 1857.
4 James Thompson Collins 2nd son born circa 1843. He was a solicitor and died unmarried
on 27.12.1871 aged 27 years at Notting Hill, Belfast and is buried at Shankill Cemetery.
5 William Collins born circa 1846 a Minor died unmarried on 15.01.1864 at Notting Hill,
Belfast and is buried at Shankill Cemetery.
6 Emily Collins born circa 1853 youngest daughter living with Maria at 7 Withington Road,
Moss Side, Chorlton in 1901 and 1 Chatsworth Grove, Whalley Range, Manchester in 1911
with a relation Winifred Mary Collins the daughter of Joseph Clarke Collins. Emily died
19.12.1924 at Allasio, Italy.
7 Frederick Henry Collins youngest son born circa 1855. Frederick an MD of Whalley Range,
Manchester married Dinah Worthington eldest daughter of J.H. Worthington of Old Trafford
on 14.07.1887 at Chorlton Road Congregational Church. Frederick died on 17.02.1907 at
Bridge House, Didsbury. Dinah, a widow living at Withington in 1911.
1 Frederick Henry Collins born circa 1888 an Engineer of 21 Norwood Avenue, Didsbury
married Hilda Mary Henson of 189 Burton Road daughter of William Edward Henson
on 04.12.1915 at the Parish Church of Christ Church, West Didsbury.

4 Dr Robert Collins born circa 1812 of Belfast married Elizabeth Dunlop youngest daughter of Major
Charles Dunlop of Edenderry on 31.07.1837 at Fisherwick Presbyterian Church, Belfast. Robert died
on 07.05.1852 aged 40 years at his residence in Queen Street, Belfast and is buried at Shankill
Graveyard. Eliza died on 07.07.1898 aged 87 years at Ardmore, Bangor.
1 Joshua Derham Collins MD married Anna Maria Hay youngest daughter of Thomas Hay on
20.06.1871 at Malone the residence of Charles Dunlop of Peterboro’, Canada West.
5 John Collins 1816 a solicitor afft James Peebles 1837 admitted Queens Bench 1842. John died on
08.05.1851 aged 35 years at the residence of Hugh Wallace, Clady Cottage, Dunadry and is
buried at Shankill.
6 Maria Collins born circa 1817 died on 30.12.1877 aged 70 years at Kells Connor, Ballymena.
Probate to Harriet Wallace.
7 Margaret Jane Collins 4th daughter born circa 1818 died on 26.11.1842 aged 24 years at the
house of her brother Dr Collins of Belfast.
8 Harriet Collins born circa 1820 married Hugh Wallace of Greenvale on 22.05.1844 at Cookstown,
Tyrone.
9 Rev Joshua Wellington Collins ordained in Kilkenny Presbyterian Church in December 1841
married Matilda Andrews circa 16.09.1844 at Monkstown Church. Joshua of College Square
