1 Catherine Colleton born circa 1846 was a farmer at Ballytarsna and died a spinster
at Ballytarsna, Oulart on 27 May 1931.
2 Michael Colleton born circa 1852 was a farmer/shopkeeper. He married Anastatia
Sinnott and they had six children. Michael died at Jervis Street Hospital on
25 Aug 1906. His funeral mass was held at Ballytarsna and he was buried at the
family grave at Oulart. Anastatia was a shopkeeper living at Slaney Street,
Enniscorthy in 1911 with two of her children and five of her six children had
survived.
1 Nicholas Colleton born 18 Feb 1885 at Monck Street Wexford. In 1901 and
1911 he was unmarried and working as a draper’s assistant for Edward Lee
& Co and living on site in Mary Street.

4 John Colleton born circa 1856 was a farmer of Ballytarsna, Enniscorthy. He attended
the funeral of his brother Michael in 1906. He was a member of the Wexford public
boards and a peace commissioner. He bred horses and was the owner of prize
winning stallions Crofton Comealong, Prince Patrick and Chance. He died
28 Jun 1926 at Ballytarsna, his brother Nicholas of Dundrum the informant.
5 William Colleton born circa 1857 was a farmer at Clonmore, Glenbrien, Co Wexford.
He attended the funeral of his niece in 1928. William died a bachelor at Jervis Street
Hospital on 7 Feb 1937, late of Clonmore, Co Wexford.
6 Nicholas Colleton born circa 1861 Wexford. In the 1901 census is reports himself as
head of house and manager of Edward Lee & Co. He married Frances Wilomena
(Fannie) Hall on 14 Sep 1904 at the Pro Cathedral. Fannie was the daughter of Edward
Augustine Hall and Mary Anne Farrell of 1 Amiens Street. Her father was a licensed
vintner and publican. Nicholas was a director of Edward Lee & Co by 1910. They
were living at Northumberland Avenue, Kingstown in 1911 and Nicholas was appointed
a magistrate. They lived at Mopoon from 1917 to 1944. He became managing director
at Messrs Edward Lee and Co and in July 1925 he was appointed a director of the newly
established company of James Douglas & Sons Ltd in Wexford Street, Dublin. Frances
and John were made life governors of Jervis Street Hospital and organised many of the
successful fund raising entertainments. In 1929 he presented a cup to GAA Hurley
known as the Colleton cup. Frances died at Mopoon on 10 Sep 1933 aged 50. Her
funeral mass was held at Holy Cross Dundrum and she was buried at Oulart. He was
a member of Ballinteer Lawn Tennis Club and in 1941 he was a vice president. Nicholas
died 22 Jun 1949 at St Vincent’s private nursing home late of 1 Woodlawn, Churchtown.
His funeral mass was held at Holy Cross Church and he was buried at Oulart.
1 Elizabeth Norah Mary Colleton eldest daughter born 27 Aug 1906 at Belmont
Avenue, Donnybrook. She attended St Louis Convent School. She was a
talented contralto singer and pianist. She was also a hockey player and
captain of the St Louis Hockey team. She died from leukaemia on
17 Jan 1924 at Mapoon Villa. Her funeral mass was held at Holy Cross Church,
Dundrum and she was interred in the family burial ground at Oulart.
2 Son Colleton stillborn at Meelnagh, Belmont Avenue on 17 Oct 1908.
3 Kathleen Mary Hall Colleton born 14 Mar 1910 at Meelnagh, Donnybrook left
Dun Laoghaire in August 1938 to travel to New Zealand to get married. The pier
at the harbour was opened to accommodate the large group of friend and well
wishers who turned up to give her a send off. She married Dr Thomas J Daly in
Wellington on 25 Sep 1939 at Johnstonville Church. Thomas was from Athenry
in Galway and was working in a mental home in Wellington.
4 Sheila Mary Hall Colleton born 29 Feb 1912 at Dungar Avenue, Kingstown. She
travelled to NZ with her sister to act as bridesmaid and returned to Ireland.
She married Thomas J Clancy on 8 Jun 1944 at the Catholic University Church in
St Stephen’s Green. Thomas was a salesman from 9 Iris Grove, Mount Merrion
and the son of Thomas Clancy of Ballyvaughan, Co Clare
.
5 Edward Lee (Ted) Colleton born 19 Jul 1913 at 54 Haddington Road. He joined
the Fathers of the Holy Ghost and was ordained circa 1940. He was appointed
to Zanzibar and later to Kenya. He was appointed by the Kenya Government
to take charge of the detention camp in Nairobi in 1953 to re-educate 1200 self
confessed Mau Mau militants.
6 Meave Anne Hall Colleton youngest daughter born 14 Feb 1917 at Mount Street
Crescent died 15 Mar 1928 at Mopoon and was buried at Oulart.
