George Cash eldest son of Alderman John Cash and Isabella Tudor of Rutland Square
graduated Trinity and was admitted Kings Inns. George, a barrister married Lydia Semple at
St Thomas’ Church Dublin in January 1811. Lydia was the second daughter of John Semple of
Marlborough Street. George put himself forward as a candidate for the office of recorder of
Dublin in 1828. They left Rutland Square and travelled to London en route to the continent
in 1834. George returned to Rutland Square from Paris in 1836. George died at Bloomfield
House, Malahide in August 1851 and Lydia died 10 Jun 1853 at Bloomfield House, Malahide.
1 Mary Victoria Cash eldest daughter born circa 1813 married Wallop Brabazon of
Rath House, Co Louth on 7 Dec 1835 at St Mary’s Church, Dublin.
2 Isabella Georgiana Cash second daughter born circa 1814 married Henry Lambert
(Harry) Brabazon on 10 Jan 1837 at St Mary’s Church, Dublin. Henry of Seafield Co
Louth was the eldest son of Henry Brabazon. Henry was the Inspecting Officer of
Drainage for Co Louth in 1847. Henry died 28 Jul 1849 aged 38.
1 Stillborn son Brabazon 11 Oct 1837 at Seafield, Drogheda.
2 William H S Brabazon born 26 Jun 1843 at Sydney, New South Wales.
3 Henrietta Catherine Brabazon born circa 1848 in Dublin was living at Kingsland
and married Henry Lalouette on 7 Jul 1870 at the Catholic Church of St Mary &
Peter in Rathmines. Henry was the second son of the later Peter Lalouette of
Princes Street and Bloomville, Drumcondra. They had four children and two
daughter survived, Eileen who lived with her mother and Mary who became a
nun. Henry, an undertaker died 11 May 1896 aged 60 at 72 NCR and is buried
at Glasnevin. Henrietta was a widow living at the Dalymount in 1901. She was a
funeral and carriage proprietor and an undertaker in 1911. Henrietta died at
the Hospice at Harold’s Cross on 2 Mar 1924.
Isabella secondly married Dr George Kennedy in May 1863. George was the eldest son
of the late George Kennedy, a solicitor of Tullamore. Isabella died 3 Dec 1878 at 24
Upper Buckingham Street and is buried at Mount Jerome.
3 John Cash eldest son baptised 20 Sep 1817 at St Georges. He died from influenza at
Rutland Square on 11 Apr 1844.
4 Lydia Anna Jane Cash youngest daughter baptised at St George’s Church on 30 July 1824.
She married Edmund Ker Otho Gilbert on 24 Apr 1854 at St Peter’s Church, Calcutta.
Edmund was with the 27th BNI and the eldest son of the later Captain E W Gilbert of the
RNI.
5 George Richard Cash born November 1830 at 34 Rutland Square West baptised at St
Mary’s Church on 22 Dec 1830. George was living at Bloomfield House and was a member
of the Royal Western Yacht Club of Ireland in 1856. George lived at Waterloo Road before
moving to Holly Court in 1884. He died unmarried on 10 Jun 1904 at Holly Court, Carysfort
Avenue. His niece Madeline Victoria Rose Brabazon the informant.
