Robert Billing, an attorney of Dublin married Eliner Meyler of Suffolk Street on 04.06.1794 at
St Ann’s, Dublin. His offices were at 36 Usher’s Quay.
1 Theobald Billing eldest son born circa 1797. He was a solicitor and married Diana Ball
of Upper Mount Street on 09.10.1828 at St Stephen’s Church in the Parish of St Peter.
Diana died on 20.01.1873 aged 79 years at 41 Upper Mount Street and Theobald of
Roebuck died 24.03.1873 aged 76 years. They are buried at Mount Jerome.

Peter’s Church.
2 Jane Helen Billing eldest daughter baptised on 26.02.1831 at St Peter’s Church
married Rev Benjamin H Johnston on 20.06.1872 at St Stephen’s Church.
3 Theobald Dalrymple Billing eldest son baptised on 18.04.1832 at St Peter’s Church.
Theobald married Amelia Bastable 2nd daughter of late Daniel Bastable on
20.12.1865 at St Stephen’s Church. Theobald died of Phthisis on 03.10.1873 aged
41 years at Greystones formerly of 8 Waterloo Road and is buried at Mount Jerome.
4 Louisa Elizabeth Elizabeth Billing youngest daughter baptised on 22.02.1836 at St
Peter’s Church of 41 Upper Mount Street. Louisa married Colonel G Fox Grant of Hilton,
Tipperary. Louisa died on 12.01.1895 aged 58 years at Clarinda Park East and is buried
at Deansgrange.
5 Captain Charles Edward Haughton Billing baptised 26.05.1839 at St Stephen’s Church
married Emily Augusta of the 4th KOR Regiment died 21.05.1875 aged 36 years. Emily
died 02.01.1884 aged 46 years.
Robert Billing, a solicitor of Arran Quay secondly married Martha Busby on 19.10.1805 at St
Nicholas Without, Dublin. Martha was the daughter of John Busby of New Street. Robert was
with the firm of Messrs Bell and Billing of 22 Arran Quay. In 1820 Robert purchased the interest
in 63 acres in Kilbogget which included the village of Cabinteely. Robert died at Bird Avenue,
Roebuck on 18.04.1840 and Martha died at Roebuck on 07.02.1856.
2 Ellen Billing of Upper Leeson Street eldest daughter of late Robert Billing married Rev Henry
Kennedy of Warrington Place on 09.04.1842 at St Peter’s Church.
3 Robert Billing baptised on 09.12.1810 at St Paul’s Church. He was a barrister and was
wounded by 20 bullets in an assassination attempt in April 1851 when he was visiting Co Meath,
the estate he managed for his relative Miss Busby of Dublin. He died unmarried on 19.10.1884
aged 73 years of Ardnabel, Bird Avenue.
4 Eliza Billing born 14.03.1813 baptised on 31.03.1813 at St Paul’s Church married James
Sterling son of James Sterling on 06.11.1838 at Taney Church. James of Ballawley Park,
Dundrum died on 07.03.1882 aged 73 years at 19 Fitzwilliam Place and Eliza died on 30.08.1912
aged 99 years at 19 Fitzwilliam Place. They are buried at Mount Jerome.

unmarried on 31.05.1899 aged 84 years at Ardnabel formerly of Roebuck, Dundrum.
7 Anna Lucinda Billing second daughter born circa 1819 married Daniel Maunsell eldest son of
Robert Maunsell of Ballawley Park 26.05.1853 at Taney Church. They lived at Hazelwood,
Kilmacud. Anna died on 08.02.1894 aged 75 years at 46 Park Avenue, Sandymount and Daniel
died at 10 Cambridge Terrace, Leeson Park late of 121 Strand Road on 11.08.1898 aged 75 years.
1 Matilda Lucy Maunsell only child born circa 1855 married Alpheus Edwin Smith of
Ballykisteen, Tipperary on 16.09.1879 at St John’s Church, Sandymount. Alpheus died on
05.09.1884 late of 17 Duffield Road, Derby 08.02.1894.
