George A Atkinson born circa 1852 son of John Atkinson DL, JP of Cavangarden, Donegal. He
lived at Skea Hall and was a solicitor and coroner for North Fermanagh. He married Marion
Elizabeth Geraghty on 22 Mar 1880 in Co Donegal. Marion was the only daughter of Henry
Berkeley Geraghty, barrister of Glenville, Waterford. He sold Skea Hall in 1927 but died aged
75 at Skea Hall in March 1927 before the move to Dublin had been completed. Marion died at
Loughlinstown Hospital on 11 Jan 1951 late of Laurel Lodge Killiney and was buried at
Deansgrange.
1 Maud Elizabeth Atkinson born circa 1881 in Co Leitrim died a spinster in 1974 and was
buried at Deansgrange.
2 Ethel Kathleen Jane Atkinson born circa 1882 in Co Leitrim married Hermon Charles
Anton Thieme on 23 Nov 1910. Hermon was the only son of Frederic Casel David
Thieme of Gelderland House, Frognal, Hampstead.
3 John Atkinson eldest son born 21 Aug 1883 at Ballyshannon Co Donegal. He served
with the 3rd Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers before transferring to the Duke of
Wellington's (West Riding Regiment). Captain John Atkinson married Wilhelmina Victoria
Thurn in 1909 in London. Wilhelmina was the daughter of Petre Thurn. He was
wounded in 1916. John a major on active service in the army in 1919. They had moved
to 25 Sydney Avenue, Blackrock by 1940 and John was still living there in 1951. John died
a widower on 15 Jan 1965 at the Adelaide Hospital, late of Clontarf and was buried at
Deansgrange.

He was a pilot officer with the RAF 61 Squadron service number 42329. Their plane
collided with Hampden L4138 of 16 OTU at Upper Heyford when taking off on a
training flight. He died on active service on 13 Jun 1940 at Upper Heyford. He was
buried at Middleton Stoney.

3 Constance Angel Patricia Atkinson (twin) born 4 Jul 1919 at Skea, Enniskillen, Co
Fermanagh.
4 Robert Henry Atkinson born circa 1885 in Co Donegal.
5 Andrew George Atkinson 3rd son born circa 1891 in Co Donegal. He emigrated to Australia
circa 1913 where he enlisted as a private in the 25 Battalion Australian Imperial Force . He
died of wounds received at the Dardanelles at General Hospital, Alexandria, Egypt on
27 Nov 1915.
6 Olive Lindley Florence Atkinson, 3rd daughter born circa 1886 in Co Donegal married the
Rev James A Wilson on 20 Aug 1907. James was the second son of John K Wilson JP of
Raceview.
Olive secondly married Charles Thieme on 20 Jan 1949. Charles was the only son of the
late Frederick Thieme of Frognal.
7 Angel Marion Atkinson born circa 1889 in Co Donegal died a spinster at the Adelaide Hospital,
Dublin late of Laurel Lodge Ballybrack on 8 Jan 1951. She is buried at Deansgrange.
8 Letitia Eileen Atkinson born circa 1890 in Co Donegal living with her parents at Skea
Hall in 1911.
9 Mary Myrtle Gwendoline youngest daughter born circa 1895 in Co Fermanagh married
George Wesley Lotan. She died in Dublin on 13 May 1940.
10 William Claude Atkinson born circa 1896 in Co Fermanagh living with his parents at Skea
Hall in 1911
11 Norman James Atkinson born circa 1898 in Co Fermanagh living with his parent at Skea
