David Aston born circa 1798 qualified as a doctor AM LD, Licentiate of the Kings and Queens
College. He married Maria Catherine Watkins on 1 Jul 1830. Maria was the daughter of
Richard Watkins of Ardee Street. He was a physician to the House of Recovery & Fever
Hospital, Cork Street and gave lectures on diseases of the brain and spine marrow. David
died in 1837 and was buried St Luke's on 17 Oct 1837. Maria died at 5 Adelaide Terrace
Glenageary on 10 Jan 1891 and was buried at Deansgrange.

28 Mar 1834.
2 Catherine Aston eldest daughter born 23 Dec 1832 at Ardee Street baptised at St Luke's.
She married Thomas W Howe of Exeter on 16 Sep 1853 at Taney Church.
3 Maria Aston born 2 Apr 1835 at 49 York Street baptised at St Luke's. Maria Aston
youngest daughter. She was the granddaughter of the late Richard Watkins of Prospect
House and married Rev Charles Seymore (sic) Langley on 30 Sep 1854 at Abbeyleix
Church. Charles was the eldest son of Thomas Edmund Langley. He was curate of Taney
1855/56 and rector of St Mary's, Clonmel from 1856 to 1861. Charles died 9 Apr 1885 at
Kilworth Rectory.
1 Mary Katherine Langley born 12 Oct 1855 at 3 Campfield Terrace baptised at Taney
died 1 Jan 1892 at Kilworth rectory.
2 Fridz Wilde Henrietta Langley born 17 Apr 1864 in Fermoy.
3 Charles Seymour born 27 Jul 1868 in Fermoy, Cork.
4 David Aston born 11 Mar 1837 at 49 York Street baptised at St Luke's became the proprietor
of Ballylagly, Co Tipperary in 1860 and greeted the community by holding a Harvest Home
for the workers and tenants. He married Mary Elizabeth (Lizzy) Denis 1 Nov 1864 at
Monkstown Church. Lizzy was the younger daughter of the late William Denis of Kingstown
and Waterford. They moved to Ballylagly House and they had two children. Lizzie died
25 Mar 1915 at 37 Corrig Avenue, Kingstown and was buried at Deansgrange. David died
same place on 3 Apr 1915 and was buried with his wife.
1 David Aston born 19 Sep 1865 died 27 Mar at Ballylahy House.
2 Mary Elizabeth Aston born 30 Jul 1870 at Talavara House, Templemore in Co Tipperary.
Mary was living with her parents at Corrig Avenue, Kingstown in 1901 & 1911. She
died unmarried on 6 Mar 1947 at Fitzwilliam Lodge and was buried with her parents at
Deansgrange. She left 11k in personal estate.
