Patrick Ardagh born circa 1851 in Co Kildare son of William Ardagh, a plasterer. He was a
plasterer of Maudlins, Naas when he married Agnes Buggle of Baggotrath, Kill on 04.09.1880.
Agnes was the daughter of James Buggle, a farmer. Patrick was working as a slater in 1911.
Patrick died at Johnstown on 29.04.1911, the informant her daughter Agnes. Agnes died at
Johnstown on 14.06.1946, the informant her daughter Mary Anne.
1 William Ardagh born circa 1884. William unmarried was living at home with his
parents in 1911. William a motor driver of 47 Killester, Coolock married Mary Tobin of
6 Wynn’s Place, North Wall daughter of John Tobin on 04.07.1927 at the Roman Catholic
Church of St Laurence O’Toole, Dublin.
2 Mary Anne Ardagh born 02.10.1885 at Johnstown. In 1911 Mary was working for the
household of Horace Plunkett at Kilteragh, Foxrock. Mary Anne married William Cullen
a gardener of Palmerstown and son of Edward Cullen on 21.09.1921 at the Roman
Catholic Church of Kill, Naas, Kildare. Witness Agnes Ardagh.
3 Elizabeth Ardagh born 17.06.1888 at Johnstown. Elizabeth died of phthisis on 29.01.1907
aged 18 years at Johnstown.
4 Agnes Ardagh born 17.06.1891 at Johnstown. In 1911 Agnes was working as a lower
housemaid at Seafield, for the Hardy family. Agnes was working as a domestic servant for
Joseph Xavier Murphy of 10 Clyde Road when she married Patrick Kearns on 28.06.1926
at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Haddington Road, Dublin. Patrick was a motor driver
of Cherrywood Road, Loughlinstown and the son of James Kearns, a gardener.
