William Stewart Archdall born 15.12.1870 at Drumadravy, Irvinestown.  He was the son of
Captain Hugh Montgomery Archdall of the 52nd Light Infantry and Elizabeth Stewart.  William
was a civil engineer and married Emily Laura Lyons Montgomery on 07.09.1898 at St Stephen’s
Church, Dublin.  Emily was the daughter of Hugh Lyons Montgomery and Henrietta Constance
St George of 72 Waterloo Road.  The family lived at Ardnabel in 1901 and by 1911 they were
living at 12 ​Maperath, Meath with Alfred Archdall, a brother of William.  William was an engineer
on the Kells Water Works Scheme.  William died 28.04.1927 at Maperath House, Kells and his
funeral was held at Ardess, Kesh.  Emily died at 41 Iona Road, Glasnevin on 29.10.1949 aged 70
late of Maperath House, Kells.  Her funeral was to Moynalty.
